Any student in grades 4, 5, or 6 at Summit Pointe

| What do I have to do to join? |
Let your teacher know you're interested in participating.

| What do I have to read? |
- 4 Mark Twain OR Truman nominees
- 1 Mark Twain/Truman nominee or winner from a previous year
or any Newberry Award winner or Honor book.
- 5 chapter books of your choice
Special Challenge:
Read all the Mark Twain or Truman nominees for a
special bonus at the end of the year! |
What else do I have to do?

Do ONE of the
following for each book you read. Then, ask an adult to sign your
"evidence" (your teacher can sign off on a conference, quiz or book
review; your parent can sign off on an online quiz).
- Take the online quiz for Mark Twain or
Truman nominees (click here) OR
- Write a one page book review -- try to
convince others to read the book WITHOUT giving away the ending. OR
- Conference with your teacher about the
book.
All of the above must be
signed by a teacher or parent
in order to receive your badge for that book.
