KC3 Award

Grade 3

The Greater Kansas City Association of School Librarians (GKCASL) sponsors this book award program for third graders.  Classroom teachers read ten nominated books to students during the year.  In the spring, students vote for their favorite title.  Summit Pointe student votes are combined with other Kansas City area student votes to determine the winner.  These books are selected for their appeal to students who are beginning to read more lengthy materials.
